Facebook is making changes to add features that look a lot like Snapchat, in order to stay relevant to the younger audience. They have added Facebook Stories and a new in-app camera with filters for visual effects.
Facebook tried to buy Snapchat in 2013, offering them $3 billion, but Snapchat turned them down. So now Facebook is just copying their features.
